The Friends of St Mary's Community Heritage Site was formed in 2011. We are interested in preserving the church and its historic site.
The 'Friends of St Mary's Community Heritage Site' group in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, was formed in November 2011. The group has a committee made up of eight local Mirfield residents and a membership that is open to anyone with an interest in the preservation of the church and its historic site.
The aim of the group is to work closely with Mirfield Team Parish Parochial Church Council in conjunction with other organisations such as English Heritage. This is to promote wider public and community interest in the preservation of St Mary's Church and its curtilage as an historical site. The group is committed, enthusiastic and passionate to improve and maintain the site.
You can become a Friend of St Mary's Community Heritage Site in a number of ways. This can be by an annual financial donation (with a suggested minimum donation of £5) and/or the donation of your time or skill.
Formed in 2011.
Granted charitable status in 2012.
We have a constitution.
Run by a committee of 8 local residents.
