Who We Are

Key Facts

The Friends of St Mary's Community Heritage Site was formed in 2011.  We are interested in preserving the church and its historic site.

The 'Friends of St Mary's Community Heritage Site' group in Mirfield, West Yorkshire,  was formed in November 2011.  The group has a committee made up of eight local Mirfield residents and a membership that is open to anyone with an interest in the preservation of the church and its historic site.

Our Aims

The aim of the group is to work closely with Mirfield Team Parish Parochial Church Council in conjunction with other organisations such as  English Heritage. This is to promote wider public and community interest in the preservation of St Mary's Church and its curtilage as an historical site. The group is committed, enthusiastic and passionate to improve and maintain the site.
